A Day In The Life Of A Debt Settlement Company Employee
"What? a debt settlement companyis where you want to work? What happened to following your father's steps?"
These are words that I'll never forget. That was the night that my family kicked me out of the house because I finally confessed to them my dream of how I can help change the world with my knowledge of debt settlement . It all started on rainy Friday afternoon. On the weekend my family and I were supposed to go away, but had to cancel it because my dad had not heard anything from the debt settlement company that was working to consolidate his debts. He didn't want to spend anymore money until he heard from them, and so cancel the trip. I was furious! After one week of planning, now I had to stay stuck at home in a rainy day, while all of my other friends were enjoying their long weekend away somewhere.
It didn't take long before I was calmed, and then depression followed. I felt depressed about the situation my parents were going through, and sympathize with them for the troubles that we were in. It disappointing (to me) to see that there was nothing I could do to help them.
A passion begins
I spent hours trying to understand why was it that these debt settlement companies cared so little about its clients. I mean, the person working to help my family was probably on his way to some place nice for the weekend break. That night, I started looking for ways to prevent others from living this awful fate.
"How is a debt settlement company supposed to really help someone?
"Is it really possible, to give some his live back through a debt settlement company ?
These were all concerns roaming in mind. I could no longer rest or even breathe in peace until I found the answers to my questions about a debt settlement company.
As time passed
My parents started to notice my change in behavior. I started to not talk much. I withdrew from my friends, and nothing mattered much expect for learning about the functions and structure of a debt settlement company.
After I learned all that I could and felt that I was ready. I decided to experience what it like for my own. I took the plunge, and applied for a position in a debt settlement company in my city. I was hired and started working full time. When I mean, full-time, I really mean it. I was completely absorbed and dedicated to changing the lives of my clients. I had a mission.
Since then, 5 years have passed. My parents and I are a family again. They finally understood to this profession was my true calling. They have also witnessed how helpful I have been to many, and how their lives have been transformed because of me.
Last year, I accomplished the goal of managing a company. I am now the director of my debt settlement company in which my parents also work. They are now debt free and we got to a different part of the country almost every weekend.
I am grateful for that fortunate rainy afternoon that transformed our live forever.
