In Biloxi, Mississippi, a so-called Christian debt reduction group is making waves by offering financial and spiritual counseling alike. Mississippi residents are flocking to the organization, known as Divine Debt Reduction, Inc., in record numbers, believing that they have finally found a debt reduction service they can trust. "It's great," says Tom Smith, 48, of Biloxi. "Finally, there is someone who can help me with my finances and personal problems alike who I know is dependable. It's more than a debt reduction service - it's a source of redemption and light shining into my soul." Other area residents are more skeptical.

A Reno, Nevada debt reduction service recently surpassed the record for consumers serviced in the first six months of an agency's incorporation. Official figures are still being tabulated, but executives estimate that over 8,500 satisfied customers were served by Reno-gotiate, Inc., since October of 2004. Industry officials speculate that this record spike in debt reduction has more to do with the area's economy, which leans heavily on gaming. "As far as the debt reduction service itself goes, we're not talking about anything special. It's just location, location, location," said Rick Barnes, a local debt relief specialist, "we are just doing our best to meet the needs of the public by offering up-and-coming debt elimination services, but we are still a long way off from servicing everyone who needs it."

Nevada's credit card debt elimination service companies have a long way to go, but props to Reno-gotiate, Inc who is making significant strides in the area. With any luck soon, all of Nevada will be debt free.
